It was a Chinese friend of mine who asked me if I had looked at some of the amazing lamp posts in Dubai. "Lampposts?" I asked. "You kidding?"
But she wasn't. And as I looked around, I realised that there is indeed beauty in some of the world's lampposts - the most exciting ones (for me, at least) to be found in Manila.
