Medain Saleh is the capital of the old Nabatean empire.

It also has a train station that used to be on the old Hijaz railway - that was blown up by Larence of Arabia.

Unfortunately the authorities have chosen to install lampposts that are totally out of character with the old railway. Ah well.....
