Al Rajhi Tower
n May 2006, plans were announced for a third tower on the King Fahd Highway / Olaya Street axis.
The Al Rajhi Tower will cost US$480 million and be at least 350 metres high.
Designs for the sail-shaped tower have been drawn up by architects at Atkins and it will have a footprint of 42,000 square metres with a gross floor area of 80,000 m2.
The top of the tower is similar to that of the Burj Al Arab in Dubai with the similar style of helipad and observation area extruded from the sides of the building which is used as an eating area in the Burj Al Arab.
Completion is expected in 2010.
