digital photography

Overview
Increasingly, public relations professionals are having to multi-task – and this often means taking their own pictures, particularly for internal publications where budgets are often inadequate. The rapid development of digital technology now makes taking photographs and transferring them to the page a very easy task. But taking good digital photographs requires training. And often what may appear to be a poor photograph may become useable through the use of some simple software techniques.

Objectives:
By the end of the programme, delegates will have the confidence to select and use the correct equipment and be able to create interesting and vibrant PR pictures. They will be able to transfer the images in the correct format, edit them and then format them for web or print use; and in addition they will be able to use software such as Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro to ‘repair’ seemingly poor pictures to make them useable.

Aimed at:
PR officers and other personnel in the organisation whose work involves contact and interaction with the internal and external public, particularly managers and supervisors in the areas of personnel, marketing, sales, training and administration.
